DEMODRIVERS attends the 43rd Conference for the Association of Environmental Archaeology

In November DEMODRIVERS attended the 43rd Conference for the Association of Environmental Archaeology hosted by Institut Català d’Arqueologia Clàssica (ICAC) in Tarragona.

DEMODRIVERS team member, Kate Dudgeon, presented a paper at the 43rd Conference for the Association of Environmental Archaeology, also attended by PI Umberto Lombardo. The paper discussed the project’s innovative approach to scale-up phytolith analysis which combines a wide-scale, minimally invasive coring strategy with the automatic detection and classification of phytoliths using AI.
