DEMODRIVERS team member, Kate Dudgeon, presented a paper at the 43rd Conference for the Association of Environmental Archaeology, also attended by PI Umberto Lombardo. The paper discussed the project’s innovative approach to scale-up phytolith analysis which combines a wide-scale, minimally invasive coring strategy with the automatic detection and classification of phytoliths using AI.
